Job Description

A rapidly growing investment banking platform is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its New York team. Over the past several years, the firm has built a strong reputation in the capital markets space and is now continuing its expansion across broader advisory services, including M&A and sector-focused coverage. This opportunity offers the chance to join a well-established platform with significant momentum, strong senior leadership, and a highly collaborative culture.

The Vice President will play a critical role in leading transaction execution, managing junior team members, and serving as a key point of contact throughout the deal process. This position is ideal for an experienced investment banker who enjoys developing talent, managing deal teams, and is looking to progress toward a more client-facing and origination-focused role over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions from inception through closing.
  • Manage day-to-day deal processes, including client communications, diligence coordination, financial analysis, and transaction documentation.
  • Oversee and mentor Analysts and Associates, providing training, feedback, and professional development support.
  • Coordinate staffing across active engagements and ensure efficient allocation of team resources.
  • Review financial models, valuation analyses, pitch materials, and board presentations.
  • Work closely with senior bankers to develop client relationships and support business development initiatives.
  • Participate in industry research, strategic market analysis, and new client opportunities.
  • Help drive the continued growth of the firm's expanding advisory platform.

Qualifications

  • 6-10+ years of investment banking experience, ideally within an industry coverage group, debt capital markets (DCM), or a related advisory environment.
  • Proven experience leading transaction execution and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and manage junior banking professionals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
  • Desire to transition toward greater client coverage and origination responsibilities over the long term.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus.

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to join a growing investment banking platform at an exciting stage of expansion.
  • Strong deal flow across a diversified and evolving advisory business.
  • Direct exposure to highly experienced senior leadership and decision-makers.
  • Clear path toward increased client responsibility and business development opportunities.
  • Collaborative culture that values mentorship, professional growth, and long-term career development.
  • Stable platform with significant investment in future growth and expansion.
