M&A Senior Analyst/Junior Associate - LevelUp

We are partnering with a leading investment banking platform seeking an ambitious and highly analytical Associate to join its M&A team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional to work on high-profile transactions across a variety of industries, gaining exposure to complex strategic advisory assignments including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate finance transactions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in transaction execution, financial analysis, client engagement, and deal origination support while working closely with senior bankers and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities Transaction Execution

1. Support the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions.
2. Assist with transaction management, due diligence processes, and deal coordination.
3. Prepare marketing materials, client presentations, and transaction documentation.

Financial Analysis & Valuation

1. Build and maintain detailed financial models.
2. Perform company valuations using a range of methodologies.
3. Analyse transaction scenarios and assess strategic and financial implications for clients.

Industry & Market Research

1. Conduct in-depth industry, market, and company research.
2. Identify potential acquisition targets and strategic opportunities.
3. Monitor market trends and competitive landscapes.

Client & Stakeholder Management

1. Engage directly with clients to understand strategic objectives.
2. Support negotiations and transaction discussions.
3. Coordinate effectively with lawyers, accountants, consultants, and other advisors throughout the deal lifecycle.

Due Diligence & Documentation

1. Manage data rooms and information requests.
2. Coordinate internal and external due diligence workstreams.
3. Assist in preparing offering memorandums, information memorandums, presentations, and transaction-related correspondence.

Strategic Presentations

1. Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations highlighting transaction opportunities, valuation analyses, and strategic recommendations.

Regulatory & Compliance

1. Ensure transactions are executed in accordance with applicable regulations and internal compliance standards.

Candidate Requirements Essential Experience

1. 2–4 years of experience within:
2. Investment Banking
3. Mergers & Acquisitions
4. Corporate Finance
5. Transaction Advisory
6. Related financial advisory environments

Education

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
2. MBA, Master's degree, or relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.

Technical Skills

1. Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
2. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
3. Solid understanding of corporate finance and M&A transaction processes.
