AliCloud Data Platform Architect

Job Title: AliCloud Data Platform Architect
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: Contract

Key Responsibilities:
Hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud data services.
Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms on public cloud, mainly Alibaba Cloud (Alicloud).
Enable data-driven decision-making through robust data pipelines and architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, DevOps, and Business units.
Strong SQL skills and experience with big-data technologies.
Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data engineering.
Experience with distributed systems and data-processing frameworks.
Knowledge of data-warehousing concepts and architecture.
Familiarity with Linux environments (RHEL preferred).
Experience with real-time data streaming (Kafka, Flink) and data analytics (Spark, Airflow).
Knowledge of cloud networking and security on Alicloud.
Exposure to DevOps practices such as Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
