Title: Big Data Cloud Operations-100% Remote- Over Night Shift

Location: Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA (100% Remote)

Contract: 6+ Months Contract with extension

Night shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM

 

Required only Local who are in DC/VA/MD and needs to take Assessment and for F2F interview

 

Required:

We really need Operations supports and these skillsets are keyLinux Administration, Python scripting, AWS, Splunk Queries/Dashboard, Batch Scheduling tools like (JAMS, Control-M, and the Likes) and Jenkins/GitLab

 

Role Overview

• Technical operations-focused role supporting big data workloads
• This is NOT a DevOps position — do not submit DevOps candidates
• Hands-on operations role, not a lead or management position
• Candidate will support and maintain environments rather than make architectural changes
• Strong team-player mentality required; will work closely with multiple teams

Technical Environment

• Heavy AWS environment with some on-prem infrastructure
• Experience with AWS services required, including EMR and EC2
• Experience with job scheduling and batch processing tools
• Some Python scripting experience needed
• Jenkins experience required
• Linux and Windows administration experience required
• Some Splunk experience preferred, specifically running queries
• Smaller dataset experience is acceptable
