We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Consultant to support a large banking client in upgrading and modernizing their VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environment from VCF 5.2.x to VCF 9.x. The consultant will focus on Configuration Drift Management for the VCF Management Stack using Aria Automation Config / Salt, primarily supporting security, compliance, and audit-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
• Support Configuration Drift Management using Aria Automation Config / SaltStack.
• Develop Salt integrations and automation workflows using Python and/or Java.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Develop and integrate API-driven automation solutions across enterprise platforms.
• Work with VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) and related VMware automation tools.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation processes.
• Provide technical leadership and automation best practices within highly regulated banking environments.
• Support security, compliance, and audit use cases through automation and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation frameworks and integrations.
• Participate in architecture discussions, solution design, and implementation planning.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), preferably VCF 5.x to 9.x environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Aria Automation Config / SaltStack (Salt).
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python and/or Java.
• Experience with VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API-driven integrations.
• Experience working in enterprise banking or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of security compliance, audit controls, and configuration management practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with VMware Aria Suite products.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Exposure to cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• VMware certifications are a plus.
