• Perform software design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control for scientific and engineering applications.
• Define system/software requirements and translate customer needs into practical designs.
• Use Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git and related Agile tools to manage work and collaborate with the team.
• Identify roadblocks, resolve discrepancies and develop solutions where requirements or approaches are not fully defined.
• Plan, design, develop, test and deploy solutions that improve performance, maintainability and delivery outcomes.
• Contribute across front end/GUI, back end services, databases and integration APIs.
• Ensure integration and compliance with applicable client, industry and Defence standards.
• Maintain software baselines, configuration and technical documentation, adopting new technologies where required.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software development and software modernisation experience.
