Devops Engineer

Job Title – DevOps Engineer
Duration – 6 Months (Contractual)
Location – Sylmar CA 91342
Shift – 1st Shift (Monday - Friday) 08:00 AM TO 05:00 PM

Role Overview:
You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines while managing cloud infrastructure and containerized environments. Working in an Agile environment, you will automate repetitive operational tasks, implement monitoring systems, and ensure smooth, reliable software deployments. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive self-starter with strong software coding skills and excellent communication abilities across multiple organization levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and secure robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Infrastructure & Automation: Manage cloud infrastructure (Azure/Azure PaaS) and containerized environments while automating repetitive operational workflows through scripting.
• Deployments & Monitoring: Ensure smooth software deployments and implement comprehensive system monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.
• Technical Design: Refine conceptual system requirements into detailed technical designs consisting of job flows and program specifications.
• Production Support: Provide system performance optimization, regular maintenance, and advanced production support when issues are escalated.
• Security & Compliance: Apply enterprise security policies and standards while implementing security checks directly into CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills:

• Cloud & Containers: Solid working knowledge of Azure, Azure PaaS services, and container technologies like Docker and AKS/Kubernetes.
• CI/CD & DevOps Tools: Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and version control tools, specifically Terraform, Git, and GitLab.
• Software Coding: Strong foundational coding skills and proficiency with scripting languages for system administration and DevOps workflows.
• Methodologies: Comprehensive understanding of DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile, and Waterfall development life cycles.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deliver documentation, presentations, and cross-level collaboration.

Preferred Education & Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of professional DevOps experience is strictly required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
• Mobile Experience: Practical experience managing mobile application deployments within Google and Apple developer portals is highly preferred.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience working in the Medical Device industry is a plus.
