The Role • Independently evaluate and assess safety-critical systems and machinery for functional safety compliance. • Systematically verify that all safety-relevant components, sub-assemblies, and systems meet applicable safety standards and achieve required Safety Integrity Levels (SIL). • Conduct independent reviews and validation of hazard and risk assessments. • Assess the safety concept and safety design for compliance and effectiveness. • Review technical documentation for conformity with standards, including safety data sheets, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions. What You'll Need • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field. • Profound knowledge of IEC 61508 or comparable safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, MIL-STD-882). • Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience in a development-related environment. • Good understanding of safety control systems (e.g., safety PLCs, emergency stop concepts). • Practical project experience in safety-relevant control systems. • Excellent German and English communication skills.
