Job Description

Role Type: Microsoft Purview Engineer (Project-Based Contract)

Location: Remote (US-Based)

 

Project Objective

Deploy, configure, and optimize a greenfield Microsoft Purview environment to establish robust data governance, automated data discovery, and compliance tracking across our enterprise data estate.

 

Key Deliverables

  • Environment Setup: Provision Purview accounts, establish collection hierarchies, and configure role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Data Scanning: Register and scan data assets across Microsoft 365, Azure data stores, and hybrid environments.
  • Governance & Security: Set up automated classification rules, sensitivity labels, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
  • Lineage & Insights: Configure end-to-end data lineage tracking and set up Purview Data Insights dashboards. [, , , , ]

 

Technical Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record of successful end-to-end Microsoft Purview deployments.
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep technical expertise in Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Azure SQL, and M365 Compliance Center.
