Due to the recent award of new projects we have multiple openings for experienced Telecommunications Officers that are high performance-driven team players to join our company.
Job Description:As an experienced Telecommunications Officer you will be responsible for the Installation, integration, commissioning, fault finding, and fault rectification of telecommunications equipment as detailed below to applicable design and customer standards:
- Antenna and cabling systems for multiple carriers, PIM and antenna systems testing
- Integration and installation of cabling and antennas to allow for integration of BTS hardware
- DC (ELV) Power systems
- Site External Alarm and Environmental systems
- Completion and submission of customer Hand Over and Integration deliverables
- Call testing
- Routine examinations, fault finding, maintenance and repair work on carrier telecommunications equipment and cabling.
- Rectification of conduit and antenna repairs
- Test Reports and all other Handover Documentation
- Providing technical input, solutions and feedback to Project Managers/Engineers, Field Managers and installation teams as required to ensure scope is achieve
- Identification and reporting to Project Managers/Engineers of any scope variation works required on site.
- Telecommunications AQF IV or Diploma qualifications preferred or 3-4 years of experience
- Working at heights certificate preferred
- Construction Industry White card
- Excellent knowledge and use of test equipment i.e., PIM, Fibre, Antenna systems and Ethernet testers
- Proactive and positive attitude to HSE and Quality Assurance
- Experience working on carrier level telecommunications networks (NSW TA, Telstra, Optus & NBN highly regarded)
- Solid understanding of carrier build/installation standards (Optus, NBN Wireless, Telstra, etc)
- High level of attention to detail, flexible and reliable
- Able to work independently or in a team
- Telecommunications technician experience, 2 years
