Salary : £50,000 - £65,000, car allowance, paid overtime, overseas allowances where applicable, 5% pension

Suitable for a new graduate : No. Proven industrial experience in an engineering environment is essential
The Company :
- A specialist provider of engineering services to a variety of sectors, predominantly heavy engineering - marine, oil and gas, aerospace, petrochemical, metals
The role :
Project Manager
We are happy to consider people who meet one of the two following criteria
- Experienced Project Manager from the engineering / manufacturing sector or very similar. Whilst experience of heavy machining is beneficial for this role, if you are able to bring robust project management skills and best practice, the role could be predominantly office based although some travel for project meetings will be necessary. This may be international and require overnight stays.
- Someone with strong experience of heavy machining (turning, milling, grinding etc) who has supervisory / team leader, technical advisory experience and who is looking to move into a project management position. In this situation, we would envisage someone taking on a more site based role with more travel and hands on project delivery
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. You will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities

- Monitor project deliverables
- Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
- Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them
About You :
- You may be apprentice trained, having started your career in a shop floor machining type role and having progressed your career into an "off the tools" position
- You may be degree qualified in an engineering subject and be a proficient Project Manager, able to show best practice in Project Management
- You will have a full UK driving licence
- IOSH / Nebosh / CSCS accreditations are beneficial bit not essential
- You must be able to undertake international travel, often to areas of heavy industrial engineering. The sites that require attention are not in holiday destinations !!
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact with people at all levels
- Projects may range from £50,000 to £1 million, and will require the co-ordination of employees, third party sub-contractors, customer staff, logistics companies etc
- An experienced user of MS Project
