Job Description: ServiceNow IRM Solutions Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow IRM (Integrated Risk Management) Solutions Architect to design, implement, and lead enterprise-level risk and compliance solutions. In this role, you will own the technical delivery, establish architecture documentation, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

A strong emphasis is placed on leveraging out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality over custom code to ensure scalability, reliability, and ease of maintainability. You will also provide critical architectural guidance for downstream data integrations, including Snowflake and Data Mesh environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Implementation: Architect and implement native, enterprise-scale solutions using the ServiceNow IRM/GRC suite.
• Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance, implementation standards, and mentorship to development and engineering teams.
• OOTB Advocacy: Prioritize out-of-the-box ServiceNow functionality, minimizing custom code to maintain platform health and upgradeability.
• Integration Governance: Guide downstream data integrations and strategy, specifically interfacing with Snowflake and Data Mesh frameworks.
• Technical Assessment: Evaluate current architecture state, identify gaps, and recommend robust technical improvements.
• Documentation & Standards: Produce high-quality architecture documentation, design diagrams, and implementation standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate complex technical solutions, project milestones, costs, and business impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Innovation: Research emerging technologies and platform capabilities to recommend proactive continuous improvements.

Job Requirements

Core Qualifications

• Pure ServiceNow IRM Expertise: Deep, hands-on technical architecture experience across the ServiceNow IRM spectrum, including:
  • Risk Management
  • Policy and Compliance Management
  • Audit Management
  • Vendor Risk Management (VRM)
• Enterprise Architecture: Proven track record in Enterprise Solution Architecture, systems integration, and complex architecture design.
• Regulated Environment Experience: Prior experience working within large, highly regulated financial environments (e.g., GSIB - Global Systemically Important Banks) is strongly preferred.
• Execution & Accountability: Strong sense of ownership, high engagement, and a proven history of successfully meeting project timelines.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex technical and integration issues.
• Strong leadership capabilities with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Target End Date: November 20, 2026 (with extension potential through 2027)
• Location: 100% Remote (Client located in IL)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
