Job Description
Role Summary
This position involves managing and maintaining critical infrastructure supporting federal air traffic management operations. The role requires oversight of physical facilities, technical systems, and security measures to ensure uninterrupted and secure service delivery. The candidate will be based in Peachtree City, GA, with regional travel to support multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize physical facilities, including generators, HVAC systems, racks, cabling, and security equipment.
- Oversee vendor escorts and monitor visitors, contractors, and non-badged personnel to secure sensitive infrastructure areas.
- Lead installation, testing, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cables.
- Maintain and troubleshoot power systems, including DC power supplies, rectifiers, and batteries.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and security protocols for critical infrastructure.
- Review technical designs and contractor work to verify adherence to standards.
- Maintain documentation related to facility infrastructure and system configurations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for facility-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Support FAA suitability requirements and assist with onboarding processes as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high levels of uptime and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
- 8+ years of experience in facilities engineering or management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent additional experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure.
- Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor compliance.
- Familiarity with regulatory, safety, and physical security standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel regionally for short or extended periods, with expenses reimbursed.
- Must be able to support long-term assignments within federal government security protocols.
Publishing Pay Range: $49.00 - $54.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
