Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) Location: Philadelphia, PA

Clearance Level: Active Secret Security Clearance Summary: 3 Reasons Consulting is seeking candidates with 4+ years of cybersecurity experience to join our team as an Information Systems Security Engineer. This role supports a Navy customer by providing system security engineering services to ensure the secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of developed and deployed systems. The ISSE will ensure core security engineering principles and hardening practices are implemented across assigned programs and architectures. Services to be performed include, but are not limited to: Serve as ISSE for multiple information systems Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in technologies and RMF activities Conduct comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments Lead and participate in status meetings and cybersecurity strategy sessions Evaluate and apply emerging cybersecurity/RMF (Risk Management Framework) policies Maintain current knowledge of evolving security and risk standards and ensure compliance Assess systems against NIST 800-53, DoD, and Navy requirements including DISA STIGs/SRGs Produce compliance documentation and evidence Analyze vulnerability scan data and assist with remediation efforts Develop and maintain RMF documentation (Security Plans, POA&Ms, Risk Assessments, etc.) Coordinate creation of authorization boundary and architecture diagrams Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 3+ years of experience with: Vulnerability testing tools (e.g., Nessus, WebInspect, Fortify, ACAS) Security systems engineering for diverse environments (standalone and LAN/WAN) Operating systems security (aligned with NIST, DISA STIGs, USCYBERCOM) Implementing RMF processes and NIST 800-53 controls Required Certification(s): DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (one or more of the following): CCNA-Security CySA+ GICSP GSEC Security+ CE CND SSCP Clearance Level:
