Transmission Routing Analyst

Location: Based in Juno Beach, Florida - Remote

Role Overview

The Transmission Routing Analyst supports the development, optimization, and evaluation of linear project routes, including electric transmission lines, natural gas pipelines, and water pipelines. This position serves as a technical specialist responsible for developing defensible routing recommendations through the integration of geospatial, environmental, engineering, land use, permitting, and stakeholder considerations.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze environmental, land use, engineering, permitting, stakeholder, and constructability constraints.
• Develop routing alternatives using company routing tools and geospatial systems.
• Conduct desktop assessments and occasional field-based assessments.
• Prepare reports and project deliverables to support project teams through early-stage development.
• Manage project engineering responsibilities, including schedule and budget oversight.
• Lead engineering reviews, value engineering assessments, and design optimization processes.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of engineering designs, project plans, and system specifications.
• Identify potential design risks and provide corrective recommendations.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Experience: 6-10 years of experience managing engineering projects, including solar, BESS, or other power industry applications.

Technical Skills: Strong project management and communication skills. Experience with large-scale engineering projects and required technologies like Word.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting electric transmission, natural gas pipeline, water pipeline, renewable energy, data center, or other linear infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of electric transmission development, renewable energy generation projects, and data center development.
• Experience using geospatial tools and data to evaluate routing opportunities, constraints, and project feasibility.
• A degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Planning, GIS, or a related field is preferred but not required.
