Software Engineer - Workday Compensation / Studio

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer - Workday Compensation / Studio for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Minneapolis, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong Workday technical experience to design, develop, and support integrations and solutions related to Workday Compensation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building or enhancing compensation modules and processes within Workday and strong expertise with Workday Studio. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring an understanding of both the technical architecture of Workday and the underlying compensation business processes and data.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance Workday Compensation solutions and functionality
• Build and maintain complex Workday integrations using Workday Studio
• Develop integrations supporting compensation, merit increases, bonuses, salary adjustments, and other compensation processes
• Translate business requirements into scalable Workday technical solutions
• Work closely with HR, Compensation, Payroll, HRIS, and Technology teams to understand requirements and develop solutions
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy Workday integrations and enhancements
• Work with Workday data, business processes, calculated fields, reports, and integration components
• Analyze and resolve integration and compensation-related issues
• Participate in Workday releases, enhancements, testing, and production support
• Develop technical documentation, integration specifications, and support procedures
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, data quality, and compliance requirements

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience building or developing Workday Compensation functionality/modules
• Strong experience with Workday Studio
• Experience designing and developing complex Workday integrations
• Strong understanding of Workday Compensation business processes, including areas such as:
  • Compensation plans
  • Merit increases
  • Salary changes
  • Bonincentive compensation
  • Compensation eligibility
  • Compensation reviews
  • Compensation data
• Experience with Workday reporting and data structures
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions

Desired skills:

• Experience with Workday Core HCM
• Experience with Workday Business Process configuration
• Experience with Workday Report Writer / Advanced Reports
• Experience with calculated fields and condition rules
• Experience with EIBs, Core Connectors, and custom integrations
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and XML
• Experience with HRIS, compensation, payroll, or financial systems
• Experience working in large enterprise or financial-services environments

Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
