Job Description

We are hiring an OpenText Capture Architect / Developer to take technical ownership of an existing intelligent document capture platform and complete the next phase of its modernization. This role blends solution architecture and hands-on development, with approximately equal time spent defining design direction and building or refining workflows, custom components, and integrations. The architect will assess the current implementation, identify constraints limiting straight-through processing, and improve document classification, OCR, data extraction, indexing, validation, and export. The work includes developing .NET-based extensions and custom DLLs, integrating AWS services such as Textract, S3, and Lambda, and supporting the flow of captured content into an on-premises FileNet environment through cloud-based services. The successful candidate will make practical architectural decisions, troubleshoot complex production issues, establish maintainable technical patterns, document the solution, and provide technical guidance to an India-based resource while operating with limited day-to-day oversight.

MUST-HAVES
  • Deep production experience designing and developing solutions with OpenText Capture, Captiva, or OpenText Intelligent Capture.
  • Strong hands-on .NET development experience, including custom DLLs, APIs, workflow extensions, and integration logic.
  • Hands-on AWS experience (Textract, S3, Lambda, etc. are highly valued)
  • Technical depth across document classification, OCR, extraction, indexing, validation, workflow, and export, with the ability to improve straight-through processing and reduce manual intervention.
  • Experience integrating a capture platform with on-premises FileNet or a comparable enterprise content management platform through cloud-based services.
  • Proven ability to operate as both the solution architect and hands-on developer, work independently, make sound architectural decisions, document the solution, and guide another technical resource.

NICE-TO-HAVES
  • Deeper administration, integration, or development experience with IBM FileNet.
  • Experience taking ownership of an implementation during or immediately after a systems-integrator transition.
  • Experience supporting high-volume or regulated document-processing environments.
