IT Security Operations Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced IT security leader to oversee daily cybersecurity operations and strengthen the organization's overall security posture in Glens Falls, New York. This role will guide security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance efforts while providing direction to a small team of security professionals. The ideal candidate brings both hands-on technical depth and the leadership skills needed to improve processes, manage critical tools, and support a secure technology environment.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related discipline. At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising technical team members is preferred. Demonstrated background in security operations, incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability management. Hands-on experience with technologies such as Active Directory, SIEM platforms including ArcSight, firewall solutions, backup technologies, and Microsoft security environments. Working knowledge of cybersecurity compliance practices, risk frameworks, and remediation tracking.

Familiarity with Cisco technologies, configuration management, and securing both Windows and Linux systems. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to coordinate technical priorities across teams.
