Oracle EBS WMS Technical Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS WMS Technical Developer to support a highly customized Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Warehouse Management System environment. This role will be responsible for production support, enhancements, and new development initiatives supporting warehouse, logistics, inventory, and order fulfillment operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong Oracle EBS technical development expertise, hands-on Oracle WMS experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues while delivering new solutions through the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve Oracle WMS production issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
- Maintain existing customizations, interfaces, and integrations.
- Monitor application performance and ensure stable warehouse operations.
- Provide technical support for warehouse transaction processing and mobile scanning functionality.
Enhancements & Continuous Improvement
- Modify and enhance existing warehouse processes and functionality.
- Collaborate with business users and functional analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Analyze existing customizations and recommend improvements utilizing standard Oracle functionality where appropriate.
- Improve application reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
New Development & Project Delivery
- Participate throughout the SDLC including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Design and develop Oracle WMS functionality, integrations, and extensions.
- Create technical specifications, solution designs, interface documentation, and support procedures.
- Support application releases, deployments, and hypercare activities.
Technical Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support Oracle EBS WMS solutions and related SCM modules.
- Design and develop PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, interfaces, APIs, reports, workflows, and concurrent programs.
- Build and support integrations between Oracle WMS and external systems including:
- Carriers
- 3PL providers
- EDI platforms
- Warehouse automation systems
- Robotics solutions
- Support warehouse processes including:
- Receiving
- Inventory movements
- Replenishment
- Allocation
- Picking and packing
- Shipping
- Order fulfillment
- Delivery confirmation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) development and support.
- Experience supporting or developing Oracle WMS and/or Oracle Inventory solutions.
- Advanced expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle EBS APIs, interfaces, reports, concurrent programs, and application extensions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, databases, and integrations.
- Understanding of warehouse and supply chain operations.
- Experience working through the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle EBS R12 WMS in highly customized warehouse environments.
- Experience with Oracle Order Management, Shipping Execution, Inventory, Purchasing, or related SCM modules.
- Experience with Oracle mobile warehouse/scanning solutions.
- Experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, XML, JSON, and middleware integrations.
- Experience integrating with UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, 3PL providers, warehouse automation, robotics, or EDI systems.
- Experience supporting shipping labels, carrier routing, shipment confirmation, ASN processing, and logistics integrations.
- Experience in high-volume distribution, automotive, manufacturing, or aftermarket environments.
- Experience working with global or offshore development teams.
- Familiarity with source control and Oracle change management processes.
