IT QA Lead (Trade & Transaction Reporting) AVP

City of London

Hybrid (3/2 split)

Contract to end of March 2027

£405 - £676 per day (via Umbrella)

cer Financial are working alongside an international bank, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking an IT QA Lead (Trade & Transaction Reporting) AVP to work with them on a contract.

The responsibilities of the candidate will include:

  1. Lead QA testing for Trade & Transaction Reporting (MiFID II, EMIR Refit, SFTR, Prudential Reporting).
  2. Own end-to-end regression testing, test strategy, and monthly test updates.
  3. Develop, maintain, and execute regression test packs using Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
  4. Perform data analysis, validation, and root cause analysis for reporting issues.
  5. Support business change, BAU, and regulatory reporting enhancements.
  6. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Operations, Compliance, and Front Office teams.
  7. Review business requirements and define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  8. Manage test environments, test data, and automation readiness.
  9. Track, document, and report defects through to resolution.
  10. Lead QA planning, test execution, estimation, and progress reporting.
  11. Ensure Agile QA processes and best practices are followed.
  12. Identify and escalate project risks, dependencies, and quality issues.
  13. Mentor junior QA analysts and drive continuous process improvement.
  14. Deliver stakeholder communications, workshops, and QA training where required.
  15. Support automation framework adoption and testing strategy across projects.

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Test Lead experience in Trade & Transaction Reporting (TTR/PTTR).
  2. Strong knowledge of MiFID II, EMIR Refit, SFTR, and regulatory reporting.
  3. Experience across asset classes (FX, IR, Credit, Commodities).
  4. Hands-on experience with reconciliation tools (DUCO, IntelliMatch).
  5. Experience with DTCC, RHUB, Kaizen, and trading platforms (Murex, Summit, Bloomberg, MarkitWire, PRISM, FOX, OBS).
  6. Strong data analysis, defect management, and root cause analysis skills.
  7. Experience with Agile, Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
  8. Strong stakeholder management across Business, IT, Operations, and Compliance.
  9. Knowledge of front-to-back trade lifecycle and regulatory reporting processes.
