Help build the finance function of a fast-growing UK healthcare technology company Script Assist is looking for an exceptional Assistant Financial Controller with hands-on experience running the day-to-day finance function of a startup, scale-up or SME.

As the business grows, we need a finance function that is accurate, controlled, scalable, highly automated and capable of supporting multi-entity global operations.
The role You will work closely with the existing finance team, CEO, senior management and external advisers.
This is a broad, hands-on financial-control and accounting-operations role.
You will help ensure that:

- managed a small internal finance team
- supervised bookkeepers or accountants
- worked with outsourced finance providers
- coordinated payroll providers
- managed external accountants
- supported tax advisers and auditors
- reported directly to a founder or CEO
- built processes where very little previously existed
- repaired weak or poorly controlled finance processes
- implemented a more disciplined month-end
- improved the accuracy and timeliness of reporting
️ Dynamics 365 Business Central Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is essential.
You should be comfortable using Business Central across areas such as:
- general ledger
- sales ledger
- purchase ledger
- journals
- bank reconciliations
- dimensions
- chart of accounts
- approvals
- customer and supplier accounts
- financial reporting
- month-end processes
- controls
- data quality
- system discipline
We are especially interested in candidates who have also supported:
- a Business Central implementation
- a Business Central migration
- system clean-up
- chart-of-accounts redesign
- reporting improvements
- finance integrations
- approval workflows

- becoming a Business Central finance superuser
Experience in a central or group-finance environment would therefore be extremely valuable.
