We are looking for an

Intern in Software Development (m/f/d)

We are looking for motivated interns to join an in-house software development project. Candidates should have a background in Computer Science and/or Applied Mathematics and have a hands-on experience with Python.

What is required?

• Availability of minimum 1 month and up to 3 months

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field

• Proficient in Python (or a comparable programming language)

• Familiarity with structured software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git) and containerization (e.g., Docker)

• Comfortable working with the terminal/command line and non-GUI tools and workflows

• Ability to write clear documentation and effective unit/integration tests

• Understanding of optimization techniques and the mathematical foundations of machine learning and data analysis is an advantage.

  
  

Additional skills which are seen as a strong plus:

• SQL infrastructure and ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy)

• Data manipulation with Python dataframes

• Machine learning frameworks in Python (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)

• Image processing (e.g., OCR, OpenCV)

• Applied linear algebra

• Optimization methods for data manipulation

• Statistical analysis techniques

• REST API development (e.g., FastAPI)

• CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
