The ideal candidate is a seasoned Agile Coach and Program Manager with extensive experience leading Agile transformations, facilitating cross-functional teams, coaching engineering organizations, and driving continuous improvement in enterprise technology environments. Experience supporting DevOps and Cloud organizations is highly preferred.
Job Overview
Caterpillar is seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager IT 5 (Agile Coach) to support the Clients Digital DevOps Organization. This role will facilitate Agile delivery across multiple global teams, coach engineering organizations on Agile best practices, and drive continuous improvement using Lean Agile principles and data-driven decision making.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Agile Coach with a strong background in Scrum, Kanban, DevOps environments, stakeholder management, and cross-functional program leadership.
Position Summary
As an Agile Coach supporting the Clients Digital DevOps organization, you will facilitate Agile execution across multiple engineering teams while promoting Agile values, Lean practices, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Architects, Security teams, and business stakeholders to improve delivery effectiveness and maximize business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile ceremonies across multiple teams.
- Coach teams on Agile principles, Lean practices, and continuous improvement.
- Drive team self-organization, accountability, and delivery excellence.
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize work and maximize value delivery.
- Identify and remove delivery impediments.
- Reduce decision latency through effective collaboration and communication.
- Enable data-driven improvements using Agile metrics and reporting.
- Support portfolio-level planning and Agile execution.
- Mentor engineering teams and leadership on Agile best practices.
- Foster collaboration across globally distributed cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
OR
- Master's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
Required Experience
- 10+ years of Project or Program Management experience
- Extensive experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Experience coaching Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks
- Experience driving Lean Agile adoption
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies
- Experience partnering with Product Owners and engineering leadership
- Experience leading cross-functional global teams
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Agile metrics and data
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
