Infrastructure Network Project Manager 

Location: Hybrid at Metro Atlanta Area (Local Candidates Only)

 

Position Summary

The Infrastructure Network Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering enterprise telecommunications, network, voice, mobility, audiovisual, and infrastructure projects. This role oversees technology modernization initiatives, implementation activities, vendor coordination, and strategic infrastructure planning to ensure successful deployment of technology solutions that support organizational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

Technology Planning & Project Delivery

  • Lead telecommunications, network, voice, and infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation processes.
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple facilities and stakeholder groups.
  • Provide regular project status updates and reporting to leadership.

Infrastructure Modernization

Develop and maintain infrastructure upgrade roadmaps for:

  • Voice Services (VoIP/HVS)
  • Data Networks
  • Wireless Infrastructure
  • Fiber Optic and Structured Cabling Systems
  • Public Address Systems
  • HVAC Monitoring Systems
  • Fire Alarm Infrastructure
  • Cisco Endpoint Refresh Programs

Additional responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of emerging technologies and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Coordinate infrastructure refresh and modernization initiatives.

Telecommunications & Voice Services

  • Manage VoIP and voice transformation initiatives.
  • Develop implementation strategies for voice modernization programs.
  • Coordinate site assessments, inventory validation, equipment staging, deployment, and migration activities.
  • Ensure smooth transition from legacy voice systems to modern platforms.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with telecommunications carriers and technology vendors.
  • Coordinate vendor deliverables and project commitments.
  • Participate in technology evaluations and vendor selection activities.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

Asset & Infrastructure Governance

  • Oversee technology asset inventory and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure infrastructure assets are accurately documented within asset management systems.
  • Coordinate technology refresh programs and lifecycle management initiatives.

Special Projects

  • Support enterprise-wide infrastructure and technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate network integration and enhancement projects.
  • Assist with strategic technology programs and organizational transformation efforts.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project or program management experience.
  • Proven experience managing telecommunications, network, and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of:
  • VoIP and voice technologies
  • Enterprise networking
  • Wireless infrastructure
  • Telecommunications systems
  • IT infrastructure modernization projects
