Technical Sales Engineer | Whitewater, WI, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Provide direct customer support for technical inquiries and proposals related to hygienic valves, aseptic valves, hygienic pumps, and cleaning technology.
  • Apply fluid dynamics principles to optimize pump, valve, and cleaner selection for specific hygienic applications.
  • Determine special product specifications for control valves, safety valves, vacuum valves, pig systems, and expansion compensators.
  • Integrate product and communication/control modules for seamless customer system design.
  • Utilize specialized software for product sizing and selection.
  • Collaborate with European factories and US fabricators on product specifications and logistics.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Product Managers to generate and manage customer proposals and orders.
  • Prepare value-added proposals and quotations incorporating product and industry knowledge.
  • Utilize SAP-PEM for quoting, order entry, purchase orders, invoicing, and order confirmations.
  • Conduct product warranty evaluations and field retrofits.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to develop and apply product selection and quoting tools.

What You'll Need

  • 2-5 years of experience in application engineering and technical sales support.
  • An Associate's degree.
  • A strong understanding of Fluid Dynamics and related industry practices.
  • Knowledge of sanitary liquid processing equipment and processes.
  • Familiarity with solenoid control technology and communication protocols.
  • Proficiency with product sizing and selection software.
  • Understanding of inventory management, pricing strategy, sales channels, and discounting practices.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, invoicing, and importing logistics.
  • Computer proficiency with SAP-PEM and Microsoft Office Suite.
