Remote + 20-30% travel (~one week per month)

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex Oracle Health EHR implementation initiatives across acute care facilities. This individual will independently manage multiple projects involving EHR systems, information systems, and related technology initiatives while ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience leading multi-facility EHR implementations, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to coordinate efforts across executive leadership, clinical teams, technical resources, and third-party vendors.

The successful candidate is a confident and proactive project leader who thrives in complex healthcare environments. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This individual can effectively navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive projects to successful completion while maintaining strong relationships with both business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage large-scale Oracle Health EHR implementation projects from planning through deployment and support.
  • Coordinate project activities across hospital executives, physicians, nursing teams, technical resources, and vendor partners.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation.
  • Gather, document, and manage business requirements to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Define and track project success metrics and performance indicators.
  • Manage project scope, resource allocation, capacity planning, budgets, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide regular project status updates to leadership.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, reports, and communications tailored to various audiences.
  • Maintain project governance, ensuring adherence to project management standards and methodologies.
  • Proactively identify, document, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Serve as an escalation point for project-related concerns and develop effective resolution strategies.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and strong working relationships among project stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and support organizational change management efforts.
  • Ensure project documentation remains accurate, accessible, and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of five years of Acute Facility EHR implementation experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale healthcare technology projects and deployments.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25-30%. Candidates can expect to travel ~1 week per month.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification (PMI).
  • Experience utilizing Smartsheet for project management and reporting.
  • Additional experience supporting healthcare information systems implementations.
