Job Description

Job Title: Software Developer I  (Looking for consultants who are local or nearby Morrisville, NC )
Labor Type: Technical
Location: Morrisville, NC 
Work Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesday–Thursday Onsite, Monday & Friday Remote)
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: Aug 03, 2026 – Feb 02, 2027 (6 Months)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer I (Java Developer) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Agile development practices. This hybrid role requires collaboration with development teams and occasional interaction with customers to resolve technical issues and support application enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications using Java 11 or 17 and Spring Boot.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server and NoSQL database queries.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software development best practices.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
  • Implement security and data protection measures.
  • Participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver software solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support customers with issues as needed.
  • Use Git for version control and collaborate within CI/CD environments.
