Job Title: Application Security Engineer – DAST/Engineering
Location: Charlotte, NC - onsite
Duration: 12 Months
Position Overview:
Overview
Seeking an Application Security Engineer to split time between DAST security strategy (~60%) and hands-on engineering (~40%). This role calls for strong conceptual security knowledge rather than deep experience with any single tool.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate DAST architecture, current solutions, and deployment approach
  • Explore integration of AI into security tooling and pipelines
  • Integrate DAST into CI/CD pipelines
  • Serve as subject-matter expert for DAST scanners and testers
  • Update and maintain security scan policies
  • Own road mapping and program strategy, including what to scan and workflow development
Qualifications
  • Strong conceptual understanding of application security and dynamic application security testing (DAST) principles
  • Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to serve as a subject-matter expert on DAST scanning tools and processes
  • Experience developing and maintaining security scan policies and program roadmaps
Preferred
  • Familiarity with tools such as Zap and Postman
