Technical Director (Maritime)

Our client, a high profiling technology organisation, urgently require an experienced Technical Director to run a major Maritime programme that they are delivering. In order to be successful, you will have the following background:

Background within either UK Military, or working with the Military/MoD as a customer<br />Experience of acting as a senior technical authority, providing architectural leadership<br />Enterprise Architecture background across software engineering and platform delivery, including cloud-hosted services, APIs, DevSecOps, CI/CD and test automation<br />Experience of introducing emerging technologies including AI, ML and data enabled services<br />Strong and robust stakeholder management skills<br />SC Cleared Within this role, you will be responsible for:

Senior leadership role within a multi-year delivery environment, supporting thousands of uniformed personnel and civil servants<br />Set the technical direction for the software house, ensuring digital products and services are aligned to MoD priorities and wider defence policy<br />Define and maintain technical architecture roadmap<br />Translate operational and business needs into coherent technical strategy<br />Ensure that platforms, products, data, integration patterns and engineering approaches support long-term mission outcomes as well as immediate delivery priorities<br />Provide technical leadership across complex code, low-code, data and platform services<br />Work with stakeholders across MoD organisations<br />Lead the approach surrounding modern engineering and emerging technologies<br />Provide governance, assurance and risk management across the delivery portfolio<br />Tech:

Python, TypeScript, React, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Tekton and associated DevSecOps toolchains, Saas platforms, Microsoft Power Platform, Palantir Foundry This represents an excellent opportunity to secure a long term role, within a high profile and dynamic organisation.
