Power Electronics Engineer

Introduction:

As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing power electronics hardware for various projects. You will work closely with a team of engineers to develop cutting-edge solutions and ensure the efficiency and reliability of power systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop power electronics hardware, including Gate Driver Boards, and conduct thorough testing (DPT, thermal, fault analysis).
  • Utilize oscilloscopes, simulations (PLECS, LTspice), and Altium PCB design software to optimize designs.
  • Work with IGBT/ SiC power modules, inverters, and perform root cause analysis on power systems.
  • Implement power converter topologies, manage thermal considerations, and adhere to EMI/EMC practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as UL 1741, IEEE 1547, IEC 61800.
  • Conduct hands-on testing using laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes, thermal cameras, and power analyzers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor''s degree in electrical engineering plus 5+ years of experience, or Master''s degree plus 3+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in power electronics hardware design, Gate Driver Boards, and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in oscilloscopes, simulations (PLECS, LTspice), and Altium PCB design software.
  • Experience with IGBT/ SiC power modules, inverters, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong understanding of power converter topologies, thermal management, and EMI/EMC practices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as UL 1741, IEEE 1547, IEC 61800.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
