Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Location: Banbridge Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Excellent Benefits A leading engineering and manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join its growing Procurement and Quality team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, high-value projects across the UK and Europe, while playing a key role in supplier performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement. Working closely with suppliers, you'll ensure products and materials consistently meet required quality standards, helping to maintain production schedules and support the successful delivery of major projects. The Role As a Quality Engineer, you'll take ownership of supplier quality performance, from initial approval and assessment through to ongoing audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Manage relationships with key suppliers and monitor their quality performance Conduct supplier audits, assessments and performance reviews Review supplier manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement Manage supplier corrective actions and ensure issues are resolved effectively and within agreed timescales Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and customer requirements Develop and maintain supplier quality documentation and approval processes Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance to support production continuity Carry out inspections, testing and quality investigations where required Produce detailed reports on supplier performance, quality issues and improvement initiatives Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve quality and supply issues What We're Looking For Previous experience in a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer role Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier performance Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems Understanding of quality inspection, auditing and testing techniques Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Willingness to travel to supplier sites when required Proficiency in Microsoft Office What's On Offer £40,000 - £45,000 salary Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm Friday finish at 3:00pm Company pension scheme Life assurance Health cash plan Free annual health checks 30 days' annual leave, increasing with service If you're an experienced Quality Engineer looking for your next opportunity with a growing organisation delivering innovative, high-value engineering projects, we'd love to hear from you.
