Job Description: The Agile Capability Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of business and technology capabilities that support enterprise objectives. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, product owners, and leadership to ensure solutions are aligned with organizational priorities, customer needs, and delivery commitments.
The Agile Capability Manager oversees capability roadmaps, backlog governance, agile delivery practices, and cross-functional coordination efforts. The individual is responsible for driving end-to-end solution delivery, proactively identifying risks and dependencies, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and enabling teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced Agile environment. This role provides leadership and direction across capability management activities, including requirements prioritization, release planning, testing support, change management coordination, and operational readiness.
A significant focus of this position will involve supporting complex data and system transformation initiatives, including data migration efforts, system-to-system integrations, business process optimization, and associated quality assurance activities. The Agile Capability Manager will partner closely with business and technology leaders to define strategic priorities, manage capability roadmaps, and ensure delivery teams are focused on maximizing business value while maintaining operational excellence.
Capability Owner -
The Capability Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the capability backlog to ensure delivery teams are focused on the highest-value work aligned to organizational goals. Acting as the voice of the business, this role translates strategic objectives, customer needs, and operational requirements into actionable Agile artifacts, including Epics, Capabilities, Features, and User Stories.
The Capability Owner partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, architects, and delivery leadership to drive successful solution implementation. This role owns backlog prioritization, requirements definition, release planning, stakeholder alignment, and delivery acceptance activities. The Capability Owner ensures development teams have clear, well-defined requirements and sufficient backlog readiness to support continuous delivery.
A key aspect of this role will be supporting data migration and business transformation initiatives that require detailed analysis of source and target systems, data validation, workflow design, and operational process changes. The Capability Owner will leverage strong analytical skills and business process expertise to ensure solutions meet customer needs and support organizational objectives, while coordinating closely with testing teams to validate quality and readiness.
Required skills: 5+ years of experience in Agile product, capability, program, or product management roles.
Strong experience leading or supporting large-scale data migration, system conversion, system integration, or data transformation initiatives.
Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to assess data quality, identify gaps, analyze business impacts, and support migration and validation efforts.
Experience with JIRA and Agile delivery tools, including creation and management of Epics, Capabilities, Features, User Stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.
Experience managing Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, demos, and PI planning.
Strong understanding of QA/UAT processes, testing strategy, defect management, and production readiness activities.
Experience working with transactional business applications, including workflow analysis, business process design, and reporting.
Salesforce experience with the ability to understand business processes, user workflows, data structures, and operational reporting.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership and facilitating cross-functional discussions.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
Capability Owner
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Capability Owner, Business Analyst, Agile Analyst, or similar Agile delivery role.
Strong experience decomposing business requirements into Epics, Capabilities, Features, and User Stories.
Proven experience using JIRA for backlog creation, prioritization, refinement, sprint planning support, and Agile delivery management.
Experience supporting data migration, data conversion, system implementation, or integration initiatives.
Strong data analysis skills, including data mapping, gap analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and business impact analysis.
Experience documenting business processes, workflows, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Experience supporting QA, UAT, defect management, and testing coordination activities.
Experience working with Salesforce or other transactional systems, including workflow analysis, reporting, user experience evaluation, and process optimization.
Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance business priorities, technical constraints, delivery timelines, and customer expectations.
Desired skills: Healthcare industry experience.
Experience supporting payer, provider, or healthcare operations technology initiatives.
Care Delivery Organization (CDO) experience with understanding of the end-to-end Provider Lifecycle, including provider onboarding, credentialing, demographic maintenance, contracting, and provider data management processes.
Experience with Salesforce-based provider contracting or provider relationship management platforms.
Knowledge of SAFe, Optum Scalable Agile Method (OSAM), or other scaled Agile frameworks.
Experience leading teams of Capability Owners, Business Analysts, Product Owners, or similar delivery resources.
Familiarity with change management, release management, and organizational adoption strategies. Capability Owner Healthcare industry experience. Care Delivery Organization (CDO) experience with knowledge of provider onboarding, provider maintenance, provider contracting, and provider lifecycle management processes.
Experience supporting Salesforce-based provider contracting platforms or related CRM implementations.
Familiarity with provider data management, credentialing, network operations, or provider services.
Experience within Agile frameworks such as SAFe.
Knowledge of change management and production implementation practices.
Experience working across business, operational, and technology organizations in highly regulated environments.
