Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Auditor to support our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program and internal controls environment, with a strong focus on system implementations, data migrations, and general SAP environments.
In this role, you will lead IT General Controls (ITGC) testing, validate application controls, and provide critical audit assurance over data migration activities to ensure financial data integrity and regulatory compliance.

responsibilities:
- Audit pre- and post-migration data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial and operational data being transferred to new environments.
- Evaluate and test the design and operating effectiveness of migration-specific controls, including data mapping, reconciliation processes, and dual-maintenance procedures.
- Support post-implementation reviews to ensure system security, data governance, and automated controls are operating as designed.
- Perform end-to-end testing of IT General Controls (including User Access, Change Management, and IT Operations) and automated application controls within SAP and integrated systems.
- Validate the completeness and accuracy of Information Produced by Entity (IPE) and custom reports used in financial reporting.
- Align IT controls testing with core financial processes (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report).
- Prepare and maintain detailed audit documentation, including process narratives, flowcharts, Risk and Control Matrices (RCM), and clear testing evidence.
- Partner with Business Process Owners, IT Teams, and External Auditors to communicate audit findings, assess control deficiencies, and track remediation efforts.
- Support data analytics initiatives using audit tools to automate control testing and continuous monitoring where feasible.
qualifications:
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in IT Audit, SOX compliance, or IT risk management.
Hands-on experience auditing SAP ERP environments (such as ECC or equivalent) and integrated financial applications.
Direct experience auditing system migrations, including data validation, mapping reconciliation, and system integration testing.
Deep understanding of ITGCs, automated application controls, and segregation of duties (SoD) concepts.
Proficiency with data analytics platforms and audit management software (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, AuditBoard).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex IT risks into business terms for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CIA, CPA, or equivalent professional designations.
Prior experience in a "Big 4" or regional public accounting/consulting firm, or a dedicated internal IT audit department.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple testing timelines, and adapt to fast-paced system change environments.
