Job Description

Job Title: Production Control Engineer II – Critical Facilities

Contract Duration: Through August 2028; potential to extend or convert

Location: Getzville, NY – 100% onsite. Candidates should be within approximately 50 miles / one hour.

Schedule: First 30 days: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for training. Regular schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional night/weekend work.

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Critical Facilities / Data Center professional to support the physical deployment, monitoring, testing, preventive maintenance, capacity planning, and repair of data center equipment and associated electrical, alarming, and monitoring systems. This person will assist the primary onsite critical facilities resource and support ongoing data center infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support physical deployment and maintenance of data center technologies and infrastructure.
  • Perform end-to-end monitoring, testing, capacity planning, preventive maintenance, and repair of data center equipment.
  • Support electrical, alarming, and monitoring systems according to vendor specifications.
  • Assist with structured copper and fiber cabling, cable testing, cabinet consolidation, and documentation.
  • Support hardware installs, break/fix activities, and equipment decommissions.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Document procedures and communicate statprogress to stakeholders.
  • Work independently while partnering with the primary onsite critical facilities resource.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of related data center infrastructure / critical facilities experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience with data center infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on structured copper/fiber cabling and cable testing experience.
  • Working knowledge of cooling and electrical systems concepts inside a data center.
  • Exposure to data center monitoring and alarm systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully onsite environment.
