Job Title: IBM MQ / Kafka Expert

Location: Remote

Duration: Long Term Contract

Visa: Any except Opt/Cpt

• Administer, configure, and maintain IBM MQ and Apache Kafka environments.
• Design and implement messaging and event-streaming solutions for enterprise applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize platform reliability.
• Configure queues, topics, brokers, clusters, and security settings.
• Support application teams with messaging integrations and deployments.
• Perform upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning activities.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance with security standards.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation and best practices.

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ Administration.
• Extensive experience with Apache Kafka architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and distributed messaging systems.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
• Experience with monitoring and performance tuning of messaging platforms.
• Understanding of security protocols, SSL/TLS, authentication, and authorization.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
