Job Description

Job Summary The DevOps Engineer will administer and support GitHub Enterprise environments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment infrastructure across AWS and Azure. The role will focus on repository administration, access controls, GitHub Actions, cloud infrastructure support, troubleshooting, security and compliance, and maintaining reliable engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain the GitHub Enterprise environment, including organization structures, teams, and repository access controls. Manage repository settings, including branch protection rules, merge policies, and required status checks across engineering teams. Build, maintain, and troubleshoot GitHub Actions workflows and CI pipelines. Configure and manage GitHub Apps, webhooks, and integrations with engineering and security tools. Manage engineer onboarding and offboarding related to repository access and team membership.

Monitor GitHub Enterprise usage, license allocation, and audit logs. Support enforcement of GitHub security and compliance policies. Serve as a primary point of contact for engineering teams regarding GitHub-related issues and questions. Deploy and maintain applications and infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments. Support infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates. Monitor cloud resource health, availability, and cost, and proactively identify potential issues.

Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipeline issues. Maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, systems administration, cloud engineering, or a related engineering role. Hands-on experience administering GitHub or GitHub Enterprise, including organizations, permissions, repositories, and GitHub Actions. Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud services, including compute, IAM, and basic networking.

Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control workflows. Solid understanding of Git branching strategies and code review processes. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
