Client is a leading provider of industrial systems, automation solutions, variable frequency drives, motors, photovoltaic inverters, and engineering services. We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Projects Functional Consultant to support and enhance our Oracle E-Business Suite environment, partnering with business and IT teams to optimize project accounting and financial processes.
Position Summary
The Oracle EBS Projects Functional Consultant will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite Projects modules. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Project Management, Engineering, and IT teams to analyze business requirements, recommend solutions, and ensure successful delivery of Oracle EBS Projects functionality.
This is a remote position with occasional travel for project planning sessions, testing, training, and implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Oracle EBS Projects.
- Configure and support Oracle EBS Projects modules, including:
- Project Foundation
- Project Costing
- Project Billing
- Project Accounting
- Configure project types, templates, expenditure types, task structures, organizations, and accounting rules.
- Support project setup, budgeting, forecasting, cost collection, billing, revenue recognition, and project closeout.
- Collaborate with Finance, Project Management, Engineering, and business users to improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare functional specifications and work with technical teams on reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows (RICEFW objects).
- Support integrations between Oracle Projects and Oracle Financials, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Purchasing (PO), and Fixed Assets (FA).
- Lead and support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.
- Develop end-user documentation and deliver user training.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Oracle EBS enhancement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite Functional experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS Projects modules.
- Experience with Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 implementation, enhancement, or support projects.
- Strong understanding of project accounting, project costing, billing, and revenue recognition processes.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in Finance, Project Management, and IT.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, EPC, energy, automation, or capital projects environments.
- Experience supporting project-driven organizations with complex costing and billing requirements.
- Knowledge of Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, PO, FA, Cash Management).
- Experience with SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Oracle Workflow, XML Publisher, and Oracle Concurrent Programs.
- Oracle EBS certification is a plus.
