Instructional Designer

The University of Cincinnati seeks an Instructional Designer for the Ohio Cyber Range Institute within the School of Information Technology (CECH). This role designs engaging online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced learning experiences that support cybersecurity and IT education. The Instructional Designer collaborates closely with faculty and subject matter experts to create outcomes-based curricula, interactive modules, and assessments that align with adult learning and accessibility standards. Responsibilities include developing multimedia learning assets, leveraging LMS tools and analytics, and guiding faculty on best practices in instructional technology. Responsibilities

• Design and develop online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses for the Ohio Cyber Range Institute.
• Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to translate cyber and IT content into engaging learning experiences.
• Develop interactive multimedia, simulations, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
• Ensure courses meet accessibility, usability, and quality standards.
• Use LMS tools and learning analytics to improve course effectiveness and student engagement.
• Support faculty in adopting best practices in instructional technology and pedagogy.
• Document design processes and maintain course assets and templates.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cyber education initiatives within the School of Information Technology.
