Project Manager – Project Lead

12 Months contract

5 Day onsite position in Columbia, South Carolina.

Position Overview

Client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Project Lead to lead technology initiatives from strategic planning through execution and delivery.

This position requires a project manager who has significant experience managing complex IT projects using a combination of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and who can demonstrate hands-on responsibility for strategic planning, roadmap development, risk management, resource management, change management, and budget planning.

The successful candidate should be comfortable operating as the project lead across business and technical teams and managing the full project lifecycle in a structured environment.

Required Qualifications

The candidate must have:

• At least 5 years of IT project management experience

• At least 3 years of Hybrid Agile and Waterfall project management experience

• At least 3 years of strategic planning and roadmap development experience

• At least 3 years of risk management experience

• At least 3 years of resource management experience

• At least 3 years of change management experience

• At least 3 years of budget planning experience

• A completed and verifiable bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field

• PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification, or be actively in the process of obtaining one of these certifications

All required experience should be clearly and explicitly documented in the resume.

Do not rely solely on a skills section or general statements such as project management experience. The resume should demonstrate actual responsibility for the required project-management functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Process improvement experience

• Knowledge of financial principles

• Knowledge of accounting principles

• Knowledge of mortgage principles

Candidates with experience in housing finance, mortgage lending, financial services, government housing programs, loan servicing, or similarly regulated financial environments should receive additional consideration when they meet all core requirements.
