This is a pure testing role and does not involve software design or development. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Embedded C/C++, RTOS/Non-RTOS environments, and software integration testing for safety-critical embedded medical devices.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Software Integration Testing (SIT) for embedded, microcontroller-based applications.
Analyze software requirements and design documents to identify test scenarios, test cases, and coverage gaps.
Develop and execute software integration test plans, test protocols, and regression test suites.
Understand embedded software developed in C for Non-RTOS and RTOS environments.
Understand GUI applications developed in C++ for embedded RTOS platforms.
Perform software code regression analysis to support integration testing activities.
Identify and configure appropriate hardware and test environments for embedded system validation.
Participate in requirements, design, and code review meetings by providing testing feedback.
Validate software functionality for highly safety-critical handheld medical devices.
Document test results, defects, and test evidence following medical device software development processes.
Collaborate with development, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product quality.
Required Skills
1–7 years of hands-on experience in Embedded Software Testing or Software Integration Testing.
Strong knowledge of Embedded C and C++.
Experience working with RTOS and Non-RTOS embedded systems.
Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Experience in requirement analysis, test planning, regression testing, and defect tracking.
Understanding of microcontroller-based embedded systems.
Ability to review software design documents and source code from a testing perspective.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain real-time project experience.
Preferred Skills
Experience testing medical devices or other safety-critical embedded systems.
Knowledge of embedded hardware, custom test setups, and integration testing.
Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and technical documentation.
Experience participating in requirement, design, and code review meetings.
Note:
This is a pure Software Integration Testing (SIT) role. Candidates with only embedded development experience and no hands-on testing background will not be considered.
Candidates must be able to clearly explain their real-time project experience during technical interviews.
