Job Description

Technical Business Analyst - Higher Education Integrations
100% remote
6 months

CDW is seeking a Technical Business Analyst with Higher Education experience to support enterprise integration initiatives between Ellucian Banner, Salesforce Higher Education Cloud, and other campus systems. This is a hands-on role for an analyst who can independently gather requirements, create implementation-ready documentation, and serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and integration engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document requirements for data and application integrations.
  • Create source-to-target mappings, interface specifications, data flow diagrams, and user stories.
  • Support integrations involving Ellucian Banner and Salesforce Higher Education Cloud.
  • Partner closely with Integration Engineers throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements sessions.
  • Develop test scenarios, validate integration results, and assist with defect triage.
  • Perform impact analysis for system, API, and data changes.

Required Experience
  • Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise integration projects.
  • Higher Education experience with Ellucian Banner.
  • Experience working with Salesforce Higher Education Cloud (HEC).
  • Strong understanding of student, finance, HR, financial aid, and/or accounts receivable data.
  • Experience creating source-to-target mappings, API/interface specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to read and validate SQL and/or SOQL queries.
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile environments.

Preferred Skills
  • Informatica iPaaS or enterprise integration platform experience.
  • Knowledge of batch and real-time integrations.
  • Experience supporting QA, testing, and data validation activities.
  • Strong communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • This role requires a self-sufficient analyst who can contribute immediately, produce developer-ready artifacts, and help drive successful integration delivery within a Higher Education environment.
