Required Skills:
Eight (8) years of experience in accounting, tax collection, finance, or customer service
Extensive knowledge of state and federal tax laws, rules and regulations applying to each of the several types of taxes.
Specialized knowledge of the computer systems and tracking systems, especially DOR software and database application.
Proficiency in accounting principles and auditing practices used in various industries.
Familiarity with taxpayer accounting and auditing systems.
Experience using tracking and database systems to manage assessments and collections.
Ability to systematically review financial documents and identify discrepancies or abnormal trends.
Tactful and responsive communication with taxpayers and their representatives
Understanding and applying confidentiality laws and ethics when handling sensitive taxpayer information.
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
