Azure Systems Engineer

Description

We are looking for an Azure Systems Engineer to support and enhance a hybrid infrastructure environment in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on maintaining secure, reliable identity and server platforms while helping users and business teams stay productive. The ideal candidate brings strong experience across Microsoft technologies and can manage core systems with a proactive, service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:
Administer and optimize Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments to support secure access and identity management.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Microsoft Windows Server platforms to ensure strong performance, availability, and system health.
Support Citrix-based solutions by resolving technical issues, monitoring stability, and enhancing the end-user experience.
Manage Microsoft Exchange environments, including configuration, maintenance, and issue resolution for messaging services.
Implement system updates, patches, and configuration changes while following operational and security standards.
Investigate infrastructure incidents, identify root causes, and deliver timely resolutions to minimize service disruptions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvements, platform upgrades, and environment standardization.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation for system configurations, procedures, and support activities.

Requirements

Hands-on experience administering Active Directory and Azure Active Directory in enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Practical experience supporting Citrix technologies in a production setting.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange administration and support.
Ability to diagnose infrastructure issues and resolve problems across server, identity, and messaging platforms.
Familiarity with security best practices related to access control, patching, and system administration.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
