Quick Overview
Job Description
Our client, a Belgian finance consultancy, is looking for a Business Controller to join exciting client projects across Brussels.
Why apply?
Ready to develop your finance career without being stuck in the same company, industry or responsibilities for years?
Our client is an established Belgian, family-owned finance consultancy offering its consultants the opportunity to work on challenging projects within large Belgian companies and international organisations.
As a Business Controller, you will be exposed to different business environments while benefiting from the stability of a permanent employer.
The focus? Finding projects that match your experience and ambitions while helping you continuously develop your financial and analytical skills.
Beyond the projects themselves, you can expect a people-oriented culture with personal coaching, training opportunities, regular team events and a genuine focus on work-life balance.
Depending on the project and your level of experience, you will:
- Act as a financial partner to management and operational stakeholders;
- Analyse financial and operational performance and translate numbers into meaningful business insights;
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes;
- Prepare and improve financial analyses and management reporting;
- Monitor financial performance and identify relevant trends or deviations;
- Present financial information and insights to management;
- Support management in financial and business decision-making;
- Identify opportunities to optimise budgets, reporting and financial processes;
- Take part in various controlling and finance-related projects;
- Gradually take on broader responsibilities according to your experience and ambitions.
You don't necessarily need to already hold the title of Business Controller. Profiles coming from accounting, audit, financial analysis, FP&A or controlling can also be relevant.
- Experience: You have approximately 1 to 5 years of experience within finance, accounting, audit, FP&A or controlling and have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Languages: You have strong communication skills and can work professionally in French, Dutch and English.
- Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, Applied Economics or another relevant economic field.
As a Business Controller, you can expect:
- A permanent employment contract;
- An attractive salary package in line with your experience;
- A company car;
- A range of extra-legal benefits;
- 32 days of annual leave;
- Access to various training programmes based on your development needs;
- Personal coaching and opportunities to further develop your finance expertise;
- Challenging projects with a focus on your professional growth;
- Exposure to different companies and business environments;
- A strong focus on work-life balance;
- Regular afterworks, team activities and company events;
- A straightforward recruitment process without endless interview rounds or assessments.
