Job Description

Project Manager / Senior Project Manager Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland Department: Project Management Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: Competitive DOE The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join a growing Belfast-based consultancy team delivering construction and property projects across Northern Ireland and the wider island of Ireland. The role will involve leading projects from inception through to completion, acting as a key client contact and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across a varied portfolio including: Commercial Healthcare Education Residential Infrastructure Public Sector Development Regeneration and Mixed-Use schemes This would suit an experienced construction professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects, working directly with clients and progressing towards a senior leadership position. Key Responsibilities Act as Project Manager / Senior Project Manager and primary client contact across multiple projects. Lead projects through feasibility, design, procurement, construction and completion. Establish and manage project governance structures. Develop and maintain project programmes and delivery strategies. Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants and project stakeholders. Monitor projects against programme, budget, quality and scope requirements. Identify and manage project risks and mitigation measures. Oversee procurement processes and consultant / contractor appointments. Manage change control and provide strategic advice to clients. Chair project meetings and prepare progress reports. Support contract administration where required. Ensure compliance with statutory approvals, Health & Safety and governance requirements. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Mentor and support junior team members. Contribute to business development and long-term client relationships. Candidate Requirements Degree qualified in Construction Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Surveying or a related discipline. Previous experience delivering construction or property projects within a consultancy, client-side or contractor environment. Chartered membership such as MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or NEC4PM desirable but not essential. Experience managing projects through design, procurement, construction and handover. Knowledge of construction contracts including NEC, JCT or similar. Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management experience. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams. Strong programme, risk and project reporting skills. Good commercial understanding of cost, risk and value management. Ability to manage multiple projects independently. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting junior team members. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and project-management software.
