Small Boat Engineering Technician Instructor | Spring Valley, CA | On-site | $28.44 - $35.01/hour We are seeking a skilled instructor for a leading defense training organization, renowned for its commitment to advancing naval capabilities. This role is crucial in shaping the next generation of Navy personnel through expert technical instruction in a dynamic training environment. The Role • Conduct comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on small Navy watercraft. • Operate propulsion systems and manage casualties both in-port and underway. • Execute pre-start and post-operation checks for equipment and vessels. • Provide classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory training. • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned work areas and craft. • Adhere strictly to safety standards and ethical practices. What You'll Need • Six (6) years of experience as a Navy Engineman, Construction Mechanic, or Electrician's Mate, or equivalent civilian experience. • Proven ability in marine propulsion, electrical, auxiliary, and control systems. • Qualified as a Navy Second Class Swimmer or equivalent. • Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials (US Citizenship required). • Willingness to work alternate schedules and occasional overtime. • Ability to work in diverse indoor and outdoor environments.
