Job Description

At LeavePlus, we're getting close to delivering one of the most significant business transformation programs in our organisation's history. As we modernise our platforms, processes and ways of working, we're looking for an experienced Release Delivery Lead to help bring it all together. This is a 6 month MTC through to Jan 2027.

It's about creating the conditions for multiple Agile squads to deliver successfully, ensuring every release is coordinated, business-ready and delivers real value for our members.

You'll be a servant leader, facilitator and systems thinker who enjoys solving complex delivery challenges, removing roadblocks and helping teams do their best work. Working across technology, business, testing and change teams, you'll play a critical role in ensuring every release is well planned, well executed and sets our people up for success.

What you'll be doing

You'll coordinate the delivery of multiple workstreams into a single, integrated release approach, bringing together technology, testing, business readiness, communications, training and operational support to ensure successful go-lives.

Working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Squad Leads and business stakeholders, you'll:

  • You'll lead the planning and coordination of releases across multiple Agile squads, ensuring work is sequenced, prioritised and delivered sustainably.
  • Remove impediments, manage cross-team dependencies and help squads maintain momentum.
  • Coordinate release readiness activities including testing, cutover planning, communications, training and operational preparedness.
  • Facilitate release planning, retrospectives, go/no-go forums and continuous improvement discussions.
  • Monitor delivery health using Agile metrics such as flow, lead time, cycle time and predictability to drive better outcomes.
  • Partner with internal teams and external implementation partners to ensure risks, issues and defects are managed proactively.
  • Support governance, assurance activities and release reporting while maintaining a practical, delivery-focused approach.
About you

You're someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity and helping teams succeed together.

You'll likely bring:

  • Experience leading delivery across multiple Agile teams in a Release Delivery Lead or Delivery Lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean delivery practices and a pragmatic approach to applying them.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex releases involving technology, business readiness, testing and operational stakeholders.
  • Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to influence across all levels of an organisation.
  • The ability to balance competing priorities, manage dependencies and keep delivery flowing.
  • A collaborative leadership style that focuses on coaching, enabling and supporting high-performing teams.
  • Experience working within large transformation or digital delivery programs.
  • Exposure to enterprise technology implementations such as Salesforce, Workday or similar platforms would be highly regarded.
Why join LeavePlus?

This is not a role for someone who simply maintains the status quo. As LeavePlus enters the final six months of a major transformation program, we need a highly driven, results-oriented delivery leader who can bring pace, focus and accountability to complex initiatives. You'll be instrumental in ensuring critical milestones are achieved and benefits are realised, helping shape the future of an organisation that supports thousands of Victorian construction workers and employers.
