Cyber Security Engineer - Leeds (Hybrid) - Up to £70K
A well-established international legal firm based in Leeds is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join their IT team. The Cyber Security Engineer will have extensive experience working in different SOC environments, have a great knowledge of AI technology and fully proficient with azure technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of strengthening the firm's security posture, protecting sensitive client data and critical systems within a fast-paced legal environment. You will be in the office 3 days a week.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years experience working in a SOC Environment, handling threat detections, incident responses and continuous service improvements.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and vulnerability management tools.
- Good experience working with AI tools such as Claude, Co-Pilot and ChatGPT.
- Excellent experience with Azure.
- Experience working in the legal sector is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of security controls across the firm's IT infrastructure.
- Monitor, detect and respond to security incidents, threats and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures and disaster recovery plans in line with regulatory requirements.
- Act as the go-to expert on cyber security matters, advising stakeholders and senior leadership on risk and best practice.
- Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and partners.
- Drive a culture of security awareness across the business through training and communication.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and evolving compliance requirements within the legal sector.
