Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Grimsby area
Salary: £50-53k
Shift Pattern: 12-Hour Days & Nights (Continental Shift Pattern)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be electrically biased, although we are also keen to speak with mechanically biased engineers who possess electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and packaging machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food manufacturing standards.

Candidate Requirements

- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing, ideally food or FMCG.
- Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent preferred.
- Strong fault-finding skills on electrical systems, including motors, sensors, drives, contactors and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Mechanical maintenance experience including conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes and pneumatics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
