Solutions Architect (Telecom) III

Design and document enterprise technology solutions that support application modernization and business needs. This role focuses on assessing applications for migration to Kubernetes- and container-based infrastructure, while considering security, operations, maintainability, and efficient use of resources.
You'll work with business and technical partners, under the guidance of senior architects, to evaluate requirements, develop architecture recommendations, and communicate designs. The work spans application architecture, emerging technologies, and enterprise standards.
Required Skills & Experience

• Experience assessing applications or designing technical solutions.
• Understanding of application infrastructure and modernization considerations.
• Ability to evaluate business and technical requirements and translate them into architecture recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting recommendations to technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and balance near-term requirements with longer-term architecture needs.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, or cloud-native infrastructure.
• Exposure to application migration, modernization, or re-architecture.
• Familiarity with application security risks and ways infrastructure choices can help address them.
• Experience creating high-level or low-level design documentation.
• Awareness of enterprise technology standards, architecture governance, and emerging technology practices.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assess applications and document options for modernization and infrastructure migration, with a focus on Kubernetes and container-based platforms.
• Develop solutions that address business and technical requirements, security, operations, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with internal and external partner teams to evaluate needs and shape architecture recommendations.
• Present proposed solutions to senior architects and leadership.
• Create architecture artifacts, including design documents and materials for downstream teams.
• Track and document requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements.
• Monitor technology trends and help evaluate their potential use in new and existing systems.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture practices, technology standards, and platform governance.
